Yunus Environment Hub Incubator to support East African Businesses

The Yunus Environment Hub (YEH) has opened applications for its GrowUp Incubator, which aims to help green social enterprises in Kenya, Ethiopia, Darfur, Tanzania, Uganda, and Burundi that are focusing on creative waste management solutions.

Co-founded by Prof Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel Peace Pri8ze Laureate, YEH supports and develops social business solutions that solve environmental problems in a financially self-sustaining manner.

Over the course of a six-month programme, the incubator will provide entrepreneurs with individualised mentorship based on their preferences, immersive capacity-building workshops, networking opportunities with local partners, and peer-to-peer support for social enterprises with the potential to grow and have a significant environmental and social impact.

GrowUp is searching for companies that have a sustainable waste management solution, have been on the market for six months to three years, and have revenues of between $10,000 and US$25,000.

Applications are open until March 21. Interested parties can apply here.
