Governor Ademola Adeleke Receives Support from Labour and Traditional Leaders
Following the swearing-in of Davido’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke, as Osun State’s governor-elect on the 28th of November 2022, the labour and traditional leaders of the state pledge their allegiance to the new governor.
During a meeting with the dancing governor, the State’s Trade Union Congress support was expressed by the Chairman of the association, Comrade Adekola Adebowale. According to him, the fact that the governor had the time to interact with the state workers indicates that the new dispensation will also consider the welfare of the state civil servants.
To this, Adeleke promised to be committed to the welfare of the workers but requested for workers’ understanding and time to study the work left by the past administration. According to his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, ample time to understand the different issues in the past era will help him serve them better.
He said, “Let me assure you that I will be open and friendly to workers. So, workers have a friend in this government, and we will listen to you and do our best to ensure they are addressed.”

Governor Ademola Adeleke: As Osun state’s divine-elected governor
In celebration of the newly appointed Osun state governor, Ademola Adeleke, the Traditional Religious Worshippers Association of Osun State (TRAWSO), in a congratulatory message to the state governor, said that his political victory was divinely inclined.
The message addressed by the association’s president, Dr Oluseyi Atanda, advised the governor to continue with the excellent work of the past administration and consult where necessary. The group promised the governor its prayers and availability in areas where cultural and traditional interventions are needed.
The message said, “Sir, it is our prayer that your tenure will have religious harmony, tolerance of one another and above all, demonstration of equity and fairness to all. We advise you to continue with the good of the previous administrations, review and consult widely on other areas before modification.
As traditionalists who are non-partisan as an organisation, we prayed fervently to God and the deities to appoint the chosen one for us in Osun. We believe that for you to have emerged and sworn in, it is divine, and all and sundry must pray for your success and the growth of Osun.
Sir, as you hit the ground running, be assured of our support, prayers and availability to cooperate with you in areas where the ideals of our culture and tradition are required for the attendant benefits or where decisions are hinged on tradition.”
