Davido’s Diehard Fan Ride-a-ton: What To Know

Davido’s diehard fan, Emmanuel Myam, also known as Emmiwuks began his trip to meet the Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, on a bicycle ride on the 2nd of August.

According to reports, the obsessed fan has been on the road for over eight days in a ride-a-ton from Benue State to meet his idol in Lagos.

Newsmen gathered that Emmiwuks started the ride-a-ton for Davido not for the Guinness Book of Records. 

What to know about Davido’s  Diehard Fan?

A friend of Emmiwuks, Shayum Joseph Kayode revealed that Emmanuel hails from Ukum Local Government area, Benue State. Kayode who asked other fans to share the information till it gets to the Afrobeat star, encouraged Emmanuel to continue riding.

Davido’s reaction

In a tweet, Davido asked the fan to return to his base because he was not at home. He wrote, “Turn around I’m not home.”

Many reactions have however trailed Davido’s response.

This is not the first time a diehard fan of Davido is doing something remarkable for the star. One such was when A 34-year-old diehard fan, Bakare Michael named his first son after the “Omo Baba Olowo” crooner to demonstrate his love for Davido.

According to reports, Bakare Michael’s wife gave birth to their baby Bakare David Oluwadamilare on the 17th of March in Abeokuta.

Bakare Michael took to his Twitter handle “Davido Twin @AmamaMyko”, to announce his baby’s name after the singer.

A few hours later, Davido via his verified handle @davido retweeted, asking the fan to “show me proof!! And I’ll make ur life a living proof that OBO DEY!!!”

Speaking with our correspondent in Abeokuta, Bakare said “I have made the promise that whenever I have my first son I will name him David because of the love I have for Davido.”
