All the EPL Teams Playing in Europe in 2025–26

The 2024–25 Premier League season came to a nail-biting finish, with drama unfolding across Europe as the final whistle blew.

From last-minute goals to unexpected upsets, fans were treated to a chaotic conclusion that left the table reshuffled and dreams either realised or crushed. Now, the stage is set for the next chapter: European football.

Here are the English clubs that will represent the Premier League in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League during the 2025–26 campaign.

UEFA Champions League – England Sends Six

Six Premier League clubs have earned spots in next season’s Champions League—five through their league positions and one via European success.

  • Liverpool
Under new boss Arne Slot, Liverpool found their spark again and stormed to the top of the league. The Reds finished the season as champions, reclaiming their place in Europe’s most prestigious competition.
  • Arsenal
The Gunners pushed Liverpool all the way but had to settle for second. Mikel Arteta’s men played consistent football and will look to go further in Europe after falling short in previous seasons.
  • Manchester City
It wasn’t the dominant City we’ve come to expect, but Pep Guardiola’s side still finished third. A win against Fulham on the final day sealed their spot in the top four.
  • Chelsea
With a late surge under Enzo Maresca, Chelsea climbed to fourth after a victory over Nottingham Forest. It’s a massive turnaround for a side that had looked out of sorts earlier in the season.
  • Newcastle United
The Magpies may have lost on the final day, but a stronger goal difference saw them edge past Aston Villa into fifth. It was just enough to book a Champions League ticket.
  • Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs didn’t finish in the top five, but they made their way into the Champions League by winning the UEFA Europa League. Ange Postecoglou’s side lifted the trophy and earned a place among Europe’s elite.

UEFA Europa League – Two Teams

  • Crystal Palace
In what may go down as one of the surprises of the season, Palace lifted the FA Cup to grab a Europa League place. It’s a proud moment for South London, and fans will relish European nights at Selhurst Park.
  • Aston Villa
After rubbing shoulders with Europe’s best this season, Villa missed out on a Champions League return but did just enough to stay in Europe. They finished sixth in the league and will be aiming to go deep in the Europa League under Unai Emery’s guidance.

UEFA Conference League

  • Nottingham Forest
While Forest had eyes on bigger prizes, a place in the Conference League is still something to celebrate. They’ve managed to secure European football, and for a club with deep history, it’s a meaningful step forward.
