APC stakeholders in the Southern Kaduna zone have resolved to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The decision was reached during a strategic meeting of APC Zone 3 stakeholders, which was presided over by the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa.
The meeting aimed to consolidate the party’s political structure within the region and ensure a unified front in support of the current administration’s agenda leading into the next electoral cycle.
Political Consolidation in Southern Kaduna
The resolution follows efforts by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to strengthen its grassroots presence in Southern Kaduna, a region that holds significant political weight in Kaduna State. By aligning local stakeholders with the leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani, the party intends to secure its hold on the zone well in advance of 2027.
During the session, stakeholders discussed strategies to engage local communities and communicate the achievements of the federal and state governments. The leadership of the party in the zone expressed the necessity of early preparation to prevent political fragmentation and to ensure that the party remains the dominant force in the area.
Dr Sabuwa’s involvement in the meeting highlights the Kaduna State government’s focus on maintaining political cohesion within the state. The mobilisation drive is expected to target various local government areas within Zone 3 to build a more robust support base for the APC.
Southern Kaduna has historically been a complex political landscape for the APC in Kaduna State. Consequently, the party’s decision to proactively organise stakeholders in this zone is seen as a move to mitigate potential opposition gains and to solidify the mandate of the current administration.
The stakeholders have indicated that the next phase of this movement will involve direct engagement with party members and community leaders across the zone. The party is expected to outline a specific roadmap for these grassroots activities in the coming months to ensure the 2027 objectives are met.
