Asake and Ayra Starr to Headline 2025 Summer Jam Festival

Nigerian music powerhouses Asake and Ayra Starr are set to take center stage at the highly anticipated 2025 Summer Jam Festival, adding more global appeal to one of the biggest Hip-Hop events of the year.

Organized by HOT 97, New York’s premier Hip-Hop radio station, the Summer Jam Festival is known for bringing together the biggest names in music. This year, the festival will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on June 20, 2025, featuring a stellar lineup that blends chart-topping stars with rising talent.

A star-studded lineup

Joining Asake and Ayra Starr on stage will be top artists, including A Boogie, Gunna, GloRilla, Muni Long, and Ja Rule & Friends, who will be delivering a tribute to Irv Gotti. Fans can also look forward to performances from Kash Doll, Bobby Konders & Jabba ft. Masicka, Jim Jones & Friends, Cash Cobain, and more.

Shelby Joyner, Founder of SJ Presents and President of The Black Promoters Collective, described the event as a defining moment for Hip-Hop culture.

“Summer Jam is the pinnacle of Hip-Hop culture, and we’re honored to bring this electrifying experience to fans once again. This year’s lineup is a testament to the genre’s evolution, featuring both chart-topping superstars and rising talent who are shaping the future of Hip-Hop,” Joyner stated.

Asake and Ayra Starr’s global takeover

For Asake, this is yet another major festival appearance, as he was recently announced as a headliner for the Yardland Festival in France. The Nigerian hitmaker continues to expand his international reach, performing alongside stars like Latto, Hamza, and Tiakola.

His career is already off to a remarkable start in 2025, with a second Grammy nomination at the 67th Grammys and six nominations at the upcoming 17th Headies Awards, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year.

Ayra Starr, who has been on a steady rise in the global music scene, will also be making her mark at the festival. Known for her energetic performances and signature Afro-fusion sound, her presence at Summer Jam reinforces her position as one of the most exciting African artists on the international stage.

With their inclusion in the 2025 Summer Jam lineup, Asake and Ayra Starr are not only putting Nigerian music in the global spotlight but also cementing their status as two of the most sought-after artists in the industry today. Fans can expect electrifying performances as they bring the Afrobeat wave to one of Hip-Hop’s biggest festivals.
