FG Hospitals Where Kidney Dialysis Is Available in Nigeria for ₦12,000
The Federal Government of Nigeria has clarified that patients in the Northwest region are included in its kidney dialysis subsidy scheme, following reports suggesting otherwise.
The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare confirmed in a statement on Wednesday that the subsidy is currently being piloted in 11 federal tertiary health institutions nationwide.
The announcement was signed by Alaba Balogun, Deputy Director and Head of Information & Public Relations.
Under the initiative, the cost of a dialysis session has been reduced from ₦50,000 to ₦12,000, making life-saving treatment significantly more accessible.
“This initiative, driven by the Renewed Hope Agenda, is part of the administration’s deliberate effort to provide relief for patients with kidney-related diseases while expanding access to universal health coverage,” the statement read.
