Fidson Healthcare is expanding its operations to become the largest pharmaceutical manufacturer in Sub-Saharan Africa following a record-breaking revenue year.
The company’s founder, Fidelis Ayebae, confirmed that the current expansion strategy is designed to secure the top spot in regional drug production after Fidson reported record revenues of N119 billion.
The push for the region’s biggest drug factory follows a period of significant financial growth for the company, providing the capital necessary to scale industrial capacity and increase the output of locally manufactured medicines.
Ayebae indicated that the ongoing investment in infrastructure aims to reduce reliance on imported pharmaceuticals and establish Fidson as the dominant manufacturing hub for the Sub-Saharan market.
The development comes as the company leverages its N119 billion revenue milestone to accelerate the construction and upgrading of its production facilities.
