JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Original Result Slips for Printing

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced that candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination can now print their original result slips.

JAMB disclosed this on Wednesday in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.

According to the board, the 2026 UTME original result slip was scheduled to become available for printing within two hours of the announcement on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

The original result slip is an important admission document. It contains the candidate’s photograph, national ranking, and other security features required by tertiary institutions for post-UTME screening and admission consideration.

JAMB said candidates can print the document from any internet-enabled device. This means candidates may access and print their slips from home, offices, cybercafés, accredited business centres, or any other location with internet access.

The board advised candidates to carefully check all details on the slip after printing. It also urged them to keep copies of the document for admission-related processes.

The release comes after the 2026 UTME main examination was conducted in April. A mop-up examination was later held on June 13, 2026, for candidates affected by technical glitches, biometric issues, and other challenges during the main exercise.

Results from the mop-up examination were released on Tuesday, June 16.

JAMB had earlier delayed the printing of original result slips to allow for the completion of foreign-based examinations and the mop-up exercise. On May 19, the board appealed to candidates to remain patient while the outstanding processes were being concluded.

With the release of the printable original result slips, candidates can now move forward with applications and screening exercises for the 2026/2027 admission cycle.

The development is also expected to help institutions proceed with their post-UTME registration and admission processes, as many schools have already begun or are preparing to open applications.
