2026 UTME: JAMB Releases 632,788 Candidates

ResultsThe Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released 632,788 results for candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination conducted on April 16.JAMB announced that candidates can check their results by sending UTMERESULT through SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.

The board said candidates can currently only view their scores, while the printing of official result slips will be made available later.

JAMB also issued a strong warning against altering or falsifying result messages obtained through its official channels. According to the board, some individuals have already been arrested over attempts to manipulate scores using artificial intelligence and other electronic tools.

It disclosed that two candidates and one parent are currently in custody in connection with alleged result falsification.

The examination body warned that any candidate found guilty would face legal consequences.

JAMB added that the 2026 UTME exercise is still ongoing and more results will be released in batches as marking and processing continue.

The update is important for thousands of candidates awaiting admission decisions, as UTME scores remain a key requirement for entry into tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
