Why 2026 UTME Original Result Slips Are Delayed – JAMB

Candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are yet to access their original result slips, and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has explained the reason for the delay.

JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin said the delay is due to ongoing administrative processes, including the conclusion of foreign examinations and preparations for the mop-up examination. This mop-up exam is designed for candidates who missed the main UTME for reasons beyond their control.

In his statement on Tuesday, Benjamin said:

“The printing of the 2026 UTME Original Result Slip has not yet been activated. Candidates are advised to exercise patience as the board finalises the necessary procedures.”

The board assured candidates that the printing portal will be opened as soon as all examinations are fully concluded, and that the result slips will be made available without further complications.

This update comes amid concerns from students and parents eager to obtain the official UTME results for university admission and registration processes.
