Kogi State Commissioner, Asiwaju Asiru Idris, has commended the Okun Development Initiative (ODI) for its successful organisation of the Okun Unity Dialogue (OUD), calling on stakeholders to maintain a spirit of togetherness to drive regional progress.
Idris specifically lauded Deacon Otitoju Olusuyi Aiyenigba and the executive members of the ODI for providing a constructive forum for the Okun people. The Commissioner noted that the dialogue serves as a vital mechanism for addressing the collective interests of the community.
The event, which brought together various stakeholders from across the Okun-speaking areas, focused on strategies for socio-economic advancement and political cohesion. Idris emphasised that for any meaningful progress to occur in the western part of Kogi State, sustained unity remains a requirement.
