Ministry of Interior Faces Backlash Over Reposted Explicit Image of Latin Porn Star
On Tuesday, April 23, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Nigerian Ministry of Interior caused a stir online after reposting a nude photo of adult film actress Lena Hensonu.
Just when you think you’ve seen it all in Nigeria, something happens that makes you pause, blink twice, and say, “what is this?”
No caption. No warning. Just a full-on explicit image sitting pretty on the government’s timeline—for almost 15 hours.
Yes, you read that right. A verified account of a key government ministry responsible for internal security, civil administration, and immigration reposted porn.
And it wasn’t taken down until the early hours of Wednesday morning, after Nigerians had already done what Nigerians do best—screenshot, share, and drag.

Social media, of course, exploded.
“This country will humble you every day,” one user tweeted, while another quipped, “Maybe they’ve added adult entertainment to their portfolio.”
As of now, there’s been no official explanation from the Ministry. No apology. No press release. Nothing. The account has simply gone back to its regular posts, acting like it didn’t just break the internet the night before.
Some are blaming a possible hack. Others suspect someone on the social media team may have mixed up personal browsing with official duties (a costly tab-switch, perhaps?).
Whatever the case, the damage was done—and the digital footprints are everywhere.
But beyond the jokes and memes, the incident has sparked serious questions about digital hygiene and accountability in Nigerian government agencies.
How secure are these platforms? Who’s in charge of managing them? And most importantly, how do we prevent this from happening again?
For now, the image is gone, but the screenshots—and the collective secondhand embarrassment—are here to stay.
