Real Madrid Considers €100m Move for Victor Osimhen

Real Madrid are reportedly considering a major summer move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, with reports in Spain claiming the club could table an offer worth around €100 million.

The report, first linked to Spanish outlet Fichajes, says Madrid sees Osimhen as a serious option as they review their attacking plans ahead of next season.

The reported interest is tied to a simple football reason: Real Madrid may want a recognised central striker to sharpen their attack. Osimhen fits that profile. He is quick, aggressive, strong in the air, and known for stretching defences with direct runs.

If Madrid decides they need a more natural No. 9, the Nigerian forward would be one of the biggest names on the market.

Any deal at that level would be a huge statement. Osimhen only joined Galatasaray permanently in July 2025 in a transfer worth €75 million, a record fee for Turkish football, and he is under contract until June 2029. Reuters reported at the time that Napoli also secured a 10% share of any future resale profit, which means Galatasaray would have little reason to let him go cheaply.

That is where the €100 million figure becomes important. According to the report, that is roughly the valuation now being attached to Osimhen if Madrid decides to push seriously for the striker. At that price, the move would not just be about adding depth. It would signal that Real Madrid believes Osimhen can play a central role in the next phase of their attack.

Osimhen’s appeal is easy to understand. He has built a reputation as one of Europe’s most dangerous forwards, and his output has remained strong since moving to Turkey. Reuters noted that before his permanent transfer, he scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 matches during his loan spell, helping Galatasaray win the league title.

UEFA’s player page also shows he has continued to deliver in Europe, underlining why top clubs still view him as an elite-level striker.

For Real Madrid, the question is less about Osimhen’s quality and more about squad design. The club already has star forwards, but balance matters. Teams filled with elite attackers still need the right profile in the final third.

A striker who can occupy centre-backs, attack crosses, finish quickly, and create space for others can change the entire structure of an attack.

Still, it is important to keep the report in context. As of now, there is no official confirmation from Real Madrid or Galatasaray. The story remains a transfer report, not a completed negotiation.

But it is the kind of rumour that makes sense on paper: Madrid are always linked with elite talent, and Osimhen remains one of the few strikers with the profile, pedigree, and star power to attract that level of interest.
