Vice President Kashim Shettima and Senator Abdul’aziz Yari have called on Nigerians to re-elect President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, citing the All Progressives Congress (APC) government’s progress in infrastructure and education.
Speaking at an APC rally in Kaduna, the leaders argued that the current administration’s policies are providing the necessary foundation for long-term national stability and growth.
Shettima specifically addressed voters in Kaduna State, emphasising the government’s commitment to human capital development. He pointed to recent investments in the education sector and various infrastructure projects across the country as evidence of the party’s dedication to national development.
Focus on Northern support and infrastructure
Senator Abdul’aziz Yari added to the call, pledging the support of the Northern region for President Tinubu’s second term. Yari, a prominent political figure, framed the 2027 contest as a necessity to ensure the continuity of the current economic and developmental programmes.
The emphasis on infrastructure comes at a time when the Tinubu administration is navigating complex economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies and the unification of foreign exchange rates.
