The Abuja Police Command has detained 40 suspects in connection with a robbery that took place in the Maitama district of the Federal Capital Territory.
The arrests followed a large-scale security operation aimed at apprehending the perpetrators of the crime. During the exercise, police officers apprehended a total of 70 individuals. However, following a thorough screening process, 30 of those arrested were released, while the remaining 40 suspects are being held for further investigation.
A major breakthrough in the case occurred when the victim of the robbery positively identified two of the suspects currently in police custody. This identification is expected to be a key component of the ongoing criminal investigation.
