Igbo Billionaires Backing Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election Bid
Igbo billionaires and prominent South-East entrepreneurs have become visible in early mobilisation efforts for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
Their support is being channelled largely through the City Boy Movement and the broader Change Nigeria Initiative, two platforms linked to youth mobilisation, entrepreneurship and political support for Tinubu ahead of the next election.
The names repeatedly mentioned in public reports include Obi Cubana, Zenco, E-Money, Stanley Uzochukwu, Chima Anyaso, Cubana Chief Priest and Ituma Enviable. Some have taken formal roles, while others have appeared in meetings, donations, or public mobilisation events connected to the president’s support base.
Obi Cubana
Obi Cubana is one of the most visible Igbo businessmen linked to Tinubu’s 2027 support network. The hospitality and nightlife entrepreneur was appointed South-East Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, a pro-Tinubu support group working to mobilise young people and business figures ahead of the election.
His involvement gives the movement strong visibility in the South-East because of his influence among entrepreneurs, entertainers and young Nigerians. Obi Cubana’s public alignment with the group also signals an attempt to bring private-sector figures into Tinubu’s political mobilisation structure.
Zenco
Zenco is another major name linked to the pro-Tinubu mobilisation. The businessman, associated with Zenco Group, has been reported as one of the Southeast business figures who donated buses to the City Boy Movement.
The vehicle donation was presented as logistical support for the movement’s campaign activities. In political terms, that makes Zenco more than just a passive supporter. His contribution supports the ground operation needed for rallies, meetings and grassroots mobilisation.
E-Money
E-Money is a businessman and entertainment figure whose name has been linked to the circle of Igbo entrepreneurs around the Change Nigeria Initiative.
He is widely known for his presence in entertainment, logistics and social circles. His link to the pro-Tinubu network is important because he represents the type of celebrity-business figure the movement appears to be attracting: wealthy, popular, media-visible and influential among young people.
Unlike Obi Cubana, E-Money has not been as clearly tied to a formal campaign office in the available reports, but his name has appeared among the business figures connected to meetings and public conversations around Tinubu’s 2027 support base.
Stanley Uzochukwu
Stanley Uzochukwu is one of the major business names linked to the Change Nigeria Initiative. Reports said he was among the Igbo business leaders who met with Seyi Tinubu in Lagos as part of efforts to promote youth participation, business development and political engagement.
His inclusion is significant because he operates in a more corporate-facing space. Through Stanel Group and The Delborough Lagos, Uzochukwu lends the movement a business-class image, making it look less like a regular political support group and more like a network of young private-sector elites.
Chima Anyaso
Chima Anyaso is another South-East businessman named among those linked to the pro-Tinubu support structure.
His role is notable because he sits at the intersection of business and politics. Unlike some of the others who are known mainly for entertainment or hospitality, Anyaso has political experience and public-sector ambition. That makes him useful in connecting elite business support with political organisation on the ground.
His presence in the network shows that the mobilisation is not only about celebrity endorsement. It also involves people who understand elections, party structures and regional political calculations.
Cubana Chief Priest
Cubana Chief Priest is one of the loudest public-facing promoters connected to the City Boy Movement.
Although he is best known as a nightlife figure, entertainer and influencer, his political relevance comes from his massive visibility and ability to shape online conversation. He has appeared at City Boy Movement events and has spoken strongly in support of Tinubu’s 2027 project.
His role is different from the businessmen who provide structure or funding. Cubana Chief Priest brings social influence, youth appeal and publicity. In modern Nigerian politics, that kind of visibility matters because political campaigns now rely heavily on social media momentum and celebrity-backed messaging.
Ituma Enviable
Ituma Enviable has also been listed among the Igbo business figures connected to the Change Nigeria Initiative and meetings involving Seyi Tinubu.
Although he is not as nationally prominent as Obi Cubana, E-Money or Cubana Chief Priest, his inclusion shows that the network extends beyond the most famous names.
