A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and campaign coordinator, Olusola Adeyeye, has stated that the ruling party remains invincible in the South-West region ahead of the 2027 general elections, provided its members maintain internal cohesion.
Mr Adeyeye made the assertion while discussing the political outlook for President Bola Tinubu’s strongholds, noting that division within the party is the only viable threat to its dominance in the geo-political zone, according to details provided in recent political evaluations.
The remarks come as political actors across Nigeria begin positioning themselves and building alliances ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle, with the South-West serving as a crucial geopolitical base for the ruling administration.

The South-West has historically been a fiercely contested yet strategically vital region in Nigerian politics. President Tinubu, who previously served as governor of Lagos State, has maintained substantial political influence across the six states comprising the zone: Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti.
