The Confederation of African Football has nullified Edo Queens’ penalty shootout victory over Ampem Darkoa and ordered the regional tournament’s final match to resume.
The Nigerian champions had previously appeared to secure the WAFU-B championship title on 5 September after defeating their opponents 4-1 on penalties following a 2-2 draw at the 4th of August Stadium in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
However, football governing authorities intervened following reviews of the fixture, leading to the official announcement nullifying the penalty shootout outcome and setting up a resumption of the final encounter.
