Babies Born in 2025 Will Start Generation Beta

A new generation called Generation Beta will start to be born in 2025, replacing the previous Generation Alpha, according to a report by Daily Mail based on Mark McCrindle’s research. This new group will include children born from 2025 until 2039.

Mark McCrindle, known for naming recent generations, explains that Generation Beta will likely be the first to grow up with advanced technology like self-driving cars and health-monitoring gadgets as normal parts of life.

By 2035, Generation Beta is expected to make up 16% of the global population, and many might live into the 22nd century.

The report points out that Generation Alpha, made up of those born between 2010 and 2024, is coming to an end.

The concept of naming generations started becoming popular in the mid-20th century with the “Baby Boomers.” It helps describe the distinct cultural traits of different age groups shaped by social and technological changes.

As Generation Beta moves forward, they are expected to deal with big issues like climate change and changing social rules. This generation will likely experience a deep integration with technology that could significantly influence how they interact with the world around them.

Generational labels have been highlighted by researchers like Neil Howe and William Strauss and have been part of public discussion through the works of authors like Douglas Coupland.

The generations before Generation Beta include the Builders (1925-1945), Boomers (1946-1964), Generation X (1965-1979), Millennials (1980-1994), Generation Z (1995-2009), and Generation Alpha (2010-2024).
