JAMB to Decide 2026 Admission Cut-Off Marks on May 11
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board will announce the minimum cut-off marks for the 2026/2027 admission cycle on Monday, May 11, 2026.
JAMB disclosed this through its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who said the decision will be taken at the board’s 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions in Abuja.
The meeting will be held at the Body of Benchers Auditorium, Jabi, Abuja.
According to Benjamin, the meeting will bring together key education stakeholders to decide on admission guidelines, minimum UTME scores, and policies for universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions.
The Minister of Education, Olatunji Alausa, is also expected to unveil major policy directions for the new admission cycle.
The meeting will be attended by vice-chancellors, rectors, provosts, registrars, and admission officers. Regulatory agencies such as the National Universities Commission, the National Commission for Colleges of Education and the National Board for Technical Education will also be present.
JAMB said the meeting will set the direction for the 2026/2027 admission process and remind institutions to follow approved guidelines.
The board also disclosed that the event will feature the sixth edition of the National Tertiary Admissions Performance Merit Awards, which is designed to promote fairness, compliance and better standards in tertiary admissions.
The 2026 cut-off mark decision is coming earlier than last year, when JAMB announced the 2025 admission cut-off marks on July 8.
