US Army Opens Morocco Testing Range to Private Firms

The US Army has opened a military testing range in Morocco to private companies developing missiles, drones, and other advanced weaponry.

The move positions Morocco as a new strategic hub within the global defence industry, providing private contractors with a dedicated space to test and refine military technology.

According to reports, the facility will be used by firms specializing in the development of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), expanding the operational capacity for weapon testing in North Africa.

This development marks a shift in Morocco’s role, moving from a traditional security partner to an active site for private-sector military innovation and testing.
